Running Accomplishments:

Freshmen Year-  When I started on Uintah I really didn't know how I would do. Ran a 5k or two and then just started running with the team. The older kids really liked me and called me the good freshmen. I then made varsity, which kinda ticked Nathan off but I was happy with it. Time trials I ran like 18 flat. Along with Mason,Connor, and other people. The first few races went really good then I went to the doctor and he told me to get fat because he thought I was too skinny so the second part of my season was pretty crappy. I didn't get to go to state and was ticked because Nathan beat me at region.

 

Sophomore Year- This was the year that I got that dark Cherokee blood running through me and then I decided to just haul butt the whole season because I was ticked at what happened to me freshman year. The first few meets of cross country and the whole season was great. I was able to go to state and got a low seventeen for 3 miles. And track went better too. Because normally I love cross country more than track. It was a pretty good year for this Cherokee kid.

AM- Decided to do a little speed change workout today, since I haven't done much in forever. Warmup 2 miles then 5 minutes on, 5 minutes off, 4min on, 4 min off 3,3 2,2 1,1. Felt a little bit off on form today but I'm sure it will come and go during the winter cause of not doing much form work and speed changes. Cooldown to 7.

PM- First day back at school. Mile warmup on the TM then did 6  45 second hill sprints to help build the legs and speed. Cool down to 8 afterward

PM- Crossfit workout. 32 minute amrap of 15 box jumps, 2 minute assault bike, and 10 burpees. Ended up getting 16 rounds. Foot started acting up after the workout but hopefully nothing too much. Cooldown of 3.5 after.

PM- 4.5 miles easy in Virginia. Ran down a legit road that led to a trail. Weather was great, 62 degrees, which is considered unusual for Virginia this time of year. Won't be able to run till Sunday or Monday. But am going to still be able to bike a little bit on a stationary.

AM- 4 miles very slow around the neighborhood by the hotel. Its been a great trip to Virginia. Really wish I was able to go to Simplot in February but I will be going to Virginia again that weekend.

PM- 6 miles at 6:46 pace on the TM. Did an easy half mile cooldown afterward. Pretty tired for most of the day. Had to get up at 3 am this morning for our plane flight to Salt Lake. Had a great experience at the University of Virginia with the biotech engineers but glad to be home.

PM- Easy 6 miles then decided to try and go a little bit quicker on the last two miles. Ended up with an average pace of 6:52. With the last 2 miles at 6:08 average. Felt really good to go a bit faster today.
