Freshmen Year-  When I started on Uintah I really didn't know how I would do. Ran a 5k or two and then just started running with the team. The older kids really liked me and called me the good freshmen. I then made varsity, which kinda ticked Nathan off but I was happy with it. Time trials I ran like 18 flat. Along with Mason,Connor, and other people. The first few races went really good then I went to the doctor and he told me to get fat because he thought I was too skinny so the second part of my season was pretty crappy. I didn't get to go to state and was ticked because Nathan beat me at region.

 

Sophomore Year- This was the year that I got that dark Cherokee blood running through me and then I decided to just haul butt the whole season because I was ticked at what happened to me freshman year. The first few meets of cross country and the whole season was great. I was able to go to state and got a low seventeen for 3 miles. And track went better too. Because normally I love cross country more than track. It was a pretty good year for this Cherokee kid.

PM- A few strides then 2 miles in 11:38. Nothing crazy, just wanted to get the legs moving again before I start track practice next in the next few weeks. Crossfit workout after.

4 rounds of: 50 double unders, 20 pushups, 30 situps, 10 manmakers, 2 minute plank, 40 squats, and a 500m row. Hurt pretty bad. 5 sets of 10 power cleans afterward.

AM- Stressful morning. Had to really hurry along, but still got in 6 miles easy before school.

PM- Mile warmup on the indoor, then 3.6 miles easy with Kedric,Clayton, and Talon. Felt amazing to get outside to warm weather. Hopefully we have a lot of nice days like that during the season. 7:52 average pace.

AM- 8 miles alternating paces between what I believe is my marathon pace and half marathon pace. Did this run on the treadmill cause it was quite chilly outside. Did 5 minutes at 6:40 pace, then sped up to half marathon goal pace of 5:55 to 6:00 pace for the next 5 minutes. Did that for 6 miles then did a 2 mile cooldown easy.

AM- 4.5 miles easy in the morning on the TM. Average pace 7:21.

PM- Clayton and I were deciding to do a mile time trial. Didn't quite know how it was going to go, cause I was kinda tired from weightlifting today. Ended up with a 5:28, which is pretty slow. Felt like we could have gone harder for sure. Was kinda just floating for the entire mile. After that we went outside for a small fartlek workout. 4 minutes hard, 4 minutes easy, 4 minutes hard, 4 minutes easy. Hard intervals ended up being around 5:50-6:00 pace.

PM- Didn't have time to go to practice today. Had to study hard for the state test in Sports Medicine, and I went a church thing at 6 pm. Got home around 9:30 and did just an easy 6 miles on the treadmill. Average pace was 6:48. Did 20 minutes of biking afterward. I am tired now.
