Running Accomplishments:

Freshmen Year-  When I started on Uintah I really didn't know how I would do. Ran a 5k or two and then just started running with the team. The older kids really liked me and called me the good freshmen. I then made varsity, which kinda ticked Nathan off but I was happy with it. Time trials I ran like 18 flat. Along with Mason,Connor, and other people. The first few races went really good then I went to the doctor and he told me to get fat because he thought I was too skinny so the second part of my season was pretty crappy. I didn't get to go to state and was ticked because Nathan beat me at region.

 

Sophomore Year- This was the year that I got that dark Cherokee blood running through me and then I decided to just haul butt the whole season because I was ticked at what happened to me freshman year. The first few meets of cross country and the whole season was great. I was able to go to state and got a low seventeen for 3 miles. And track went better too. Because normally I love cross country more than track. It was a pretty good year for this Cherokee kid.

AM- First run back in a couple of weeks. Happy to be back on the blog, because I have really missed reporting on here as of late. It was a needed break from consistent training though, and I feel very fresh coming back. Ran a like a total of 5 miles over the break, so I got in plenty of time to focus on other things. Been doing some crossfit and strength training workouts over the break. Probably shouldn't have gone this fast for my first run, but I felt great! Excited for my training block this fall!

PM- Crossfit workout consisting of double unders and the assault bike. Did some foam rolling and stretches afterward. Overall felt good.

AM- 8.5 miles easy mostly at the golf course. 7:44 average pace. Fairly wet and muddy over there today, so had to watch my footing a little bit. Overall a nice and cool morning.

AM- 8 slow and easy miles on Quailbrook with Ben. 8:31 average. Never really went on this trail much, but I really like it and probably will start running on it more often. Several cattle guards though, so I need to be careful on those.

AM- 9 miles moderate/marathon pace effort. 6:40 average. Felt pretty good today. Going to try to average this for a longer 15-18 mile run later this fall and see how it feels. Mile cooldown afterward.
