Ran cross country and track all throughout high school. Met a lot of great people and enjoyed the races, travel time, and the overall process for all four years. I made varsity several times throughout high school, but had to work quite a bit for it as well. Overall, had a great experience with it though!

Born again Christian. I have been a type 1 diabetic since 2015 and celiac since 2018, and even though I have had my struggles with it, I still strive to live a healthy life. Senior at Utah State University studying Health Science. Hoping to go into pharmaceuticals and focus on diabetic supplies and medicine, because I am quite passionate about helping those that have the same medical condition as I do.

PM- Did 9 miles from the top of Maine Street down to my house for a drink and then out to Naples and back. Felt kinda sore, but I think that it is wearing off. Average pace 7:32.

PM- Did another 6 easy miles around the Buckskin Hills. Felt alot better today as far as soreness goes.

Later in the evening did a shakeout run after dinner. Accelerated to about 5:30 pace for the last quarter mile.

PM- Did an easy 6 miles down to the park then back up to the high school and around the neighborhood area. It has been really nice weather so I have nothing to complain about.

Later in the evening I did a good little run. 2 miles at 6:07 pace, then a mile cooldown.

AM- 6 easy miles out by golf course and Naples area. Felt really good even though it was pretty cold outside this morning. 

PM- Did a good crossfit workout. warmed up on the assault bike, then did 30 minutes of 15 box jumps, 2 minute row, and 10 burpees. Was pretty tired afterward.

Later in the PM did an easy shakeout of 2.5 just to loosen up the legs.

AM- Did 7 miles easy after church. I feel like I was going a little bit faster than easy day pace but whatevs. Good run overall.

PM- Did a good core workout in the afternoon. It consisted of plank and rowing.

PM- After school just decided to go very a good run down to the park and around the neighborhood, then back up to the high school. Weather was really great like 65!!!

Later around 5:30 I did an easy shakeout run down by the old church by my house and back. Overall a good shakeout. Threw in a few surges for the last mile, just cause I felt like getting the legs moving a bit. Still can't decide if I want to go run the Thankful 13 half marathon for Thanksgiving, or just stay here and run the Turkey Trot. I hate the course for the Turkey Trot here but I just ran a half so it is hard to decide.

PM- 4.5 miles easy out by the buckskin hills. Felt very tight today just because I didn't warm up well. I really need to warm up better before I head out for my runs.

Later in the evening I decided to go to crossfit which was sort of a bad idea because I really didn't feel too good and I was very sore afterward. It was a good workout overall though, even if it hurt alot. The workout was for time 21 wall balls, 400m run, 21 wall balls, 400m run, 42 wall balls, 400m, 42 wall balls, 400m. Did it in just under 16 minutes, which isn't a great time for just that many wall balls, but I am just starting back up. Praying for our country tonight. Whatever happens God is in control.

PM- Today in weight training Stensgard had us do the mile for one of our test. I had totally forgot my running shoes or even flats this morning. So no running shoes no warmup whatsoever. Just me and my good ole slip on shoes that I have had since like 8th grade. Ran just a 5:40, which I really didn't care too much about this so I will be more prepared next time we test the mile.

After school I went out for 7 easy. Didn't have guitar practice tonight so I went ahead and did 3 on the treadmill with 2.5 being at 6 flat pace. Felt a little bit of lactic the first few minutes but then it went away.

AM- Today in weight training we did the plank for time. I was shooting for 16 minutes but only went for 13:10. Gonna go for 16:30 next time.

PM- Did a running/Crossfit combo. Felt pretty good for the whole workout. 2 rounds of 1 mile at 6:00 pace. Then 20 box jumps, 25 DB snatches, 500m row, 2 minute plank and 20 burpees. Did another 6:00 pace mile after the 2 rounds to finish out.

PM- 7.5 on the Brush Creek Trail today. Felt good except for a high blood sugar(327). Legs felt really strong and fresh today, considering the hard workout that I did yesterday. Didn't track time or pace, but the pace was probably just under 7.

Did another 2.5 later in the evening before it got too dark. (It was pitch black).

AM- Ran the local 5k, which I didn't run last year, because it seemed to be too cold, but it was still very chilly this morning (28 degrees). Warmed up about a mile at home then drove to the course. It's just the same old Aggie 5k course that is ran every single year. Oh well. Kedric was there so I knew that it was going to be a challenge to actually win the race. But I kinda went out what I felt was a good pace, but nothing crazy. Was about 15-20 seconds behind him the entire race. There was this one kid that was with me until the last stretch, which was surpising, but S/O to him. Came in with a 18:01. Nothing impressive, but I have done zero speed workouts since my half marathon race in October, so its not a bad time. Good start to Thanksgiving, now time to set the scales back 10 lbs and fill up on food!!!

PM- Did an easy shakeout run before dinner. Just an easy 4 miles at around 7:30 pace

AM- 6 miles easy in the cold morning. It felt alot colder this morning than yesterday morning. Winter is definitely coming.

PM- Went over to do some post summer yard work for my grandma, who bosses me a ton. So I was pretty tired from that. But I still got in 3 miles after a day of yard work. Averaged like a 6:35 for the run. Hands got pretty cold for the first mile or so.
