Running Accomplishments:

Freshmen Year-  When I started on Uintah I really didn't know how I would do. Ran a 5k or two and then just started running with the team. The older kids really liked me and called me the good freshmen. I then made varsity, which kinda ticked Nathan off but I was happy with it. Time trials I ran like 18 flat. Along with Mason,Connor, and other people. The first few races went really good then I went to the doctor and he told me to get fat because he thought I was too skinny so the second part of my season was pretty crappy. I didn't get to go to state and was ticked because Nathan beat me at region.

 

Sophomore Year- This was the year that I got that dark Cherokee blood running through me and then I decided to just haul butt the whole season because I was ticked at what happened to me freshman year. The first few meets of cross country and the whole season was great. I was able to go to state and got a low seventeen for 3 miles. And track went better too. Because normally I love cross country more than track. It was a pretty good year for this Cherokee kid.

PM- 7 miles at marathon effort. Felt really good throughout the entire run. Averge pace 6:39.

PM- 5 miles out in Naples. Felt ok, I hit my knee on some metal post yesterday so my knee kinda hurt during the run. Going to tour the UVU Campus tomorrow. Should be fun.

Later did a good Crossfit workout at home. It involved about a mile of running.

Later in the evening I did 2 more miles easy

PM- 7 miles plus strides. Accidently put my entry on this for Thursday haha. Gonna do the Dino 5k if I feel up to it tomorrow. Getting pumped for Ogden next weekend

AM- Decided to do the Dino 5k. My legs have been kinda dead because of the marathon miles and extra training that I have been doing lately. My plan for the race was to go out at marathon pace effort, which is weird for a 5k. But I wanted to see how the pace will feel for the marathon. Hit a 6:55 on the first mile, and I was in 1st place haha. The competition was flat out nothing. Then I wanted to speed up to half marathon pace for mile 2 and finish mile 3 at 5k pace. Felt consistent with it all, and hit 6:11 for the second mile, and 5:43 for the last mile. Felt good and had a lot left in the tank. It still was a fun race that Runtastic events put on. Now I am somewhat going to start tapering for the marathon next weekend, and might do a tempo run next week as well. Overall a good birthday so far. 

Later in the evening did 2 mile shakeout. 6:38 average
