Ran cross country and track all throughout high school. Met a lot of great people and enjoyed the races, travel time, and the overall process for all four years. I made varsity several times throughout high school, but had to work quite a bit for it as well. Overall, had a great experience with it though!

Personal:

Born again Christian. I have been a type 1 diabetic since 2015 and celiac since 2018, and even though I have had my struggles with it, I still strive to live a healthy life. Senior at Utah State University studying Health Science. Hoping to go into pharmaceuticals and focus on diabetic supplies and medicine, because I am quite passionate about helping those that have the same medical condition as I do.

A.M- Ran 4 easy miles in the morning at 6:59 pace felt pretty good to get out that morning after yesterday's relay.

P.M- Did a 45 minutes Crossfit interval workout with rowing, burpees, and box jumps. Felt like a pretty good effort. Finished the day with a 3 mile recovery run at 6:55 pace

A.M- Got an early start to my morning with 6 miles at 6:45 pace. It felt really good to get in a nice morning run.

P.M- Distance run with Clayton, who fell back about three miles in. Felt a little tired in the legs until I got going, but felt good once I got a little further into it. Total distance for the was 8.5. Averaged about a 6:48 pace. Strides and core afterward with Nathan, Christian, and Jordan.

A.M- Got in a good 5 miles at the park. Pace felt pretty good with 6:37 avg. 

P.M- 4 more miles with Zack that afternoon at 7:13 pace. Strides and core after. Getting excited for BYU on Saturday!!! Hopefully there is a PR somewhere at this race!!!!

A.M- So today was our hill repeats at Yellow Hill, but I had a doctors appointment that afternoon and I wasn't going to make it to practice but instead I did a 5 mile tempo at 6:16 pace. Felt good and was a hard effort to keep up with.

P.M.- Even though I didn't make practice I still wanted to go to Crossfit, so I did about an hour of strength. Afterwards I did a 4 mile easy run. With strides at the end.

P.M- Practice was an easy day today coach talked about a lot of meets coming up one of which the Bob Firman Invite that I am stoked to run this year!!! Did some core work and then ran 6 miles at recovery pace.

Ran 5 easy miles around the park before school. Then went out to Provo to check out the course. Ran about a mile of it. Looks pretty sick and I can't wait for tomorrow's race!!! Ready to kill it!!!

This race like the others this year haven't gone well for me since I got diabetes. I haven't felt like myself, but I am going to keep trying to hang in there!!! Warmed up with the varsity crew for about a mile. Then went right over to the starting line for strides and dynamics. Felt like I was going to do good this race maybe a PR, but that wasn't the end result. The first mile felt really good with a 5:43. Which was right what I wanted to hit. But after that things got worse with my two mile mark at 12:02. I started feeling like my legs were stiff and couldn't catch up to Austin even though I wanted to catch Kedric and Nathan A.K.A Lord Farquad haha!!! Final time wasn't so good but I am going to try to catch em next race for our home meet!!! Shout out to Mason for placing and getting a free shirt and for Garek showing us all up!!!
