Ran cross country and track all throughout high school. Met a lot of great people and enjoyed the races, travel time, and the overall process for all four years. I made varsity several times throughout high school, but had to work quite a bit for it as well. Overall, had a great experience with it though!

Personal:

Born again Christian. I have been a type 1 diabetic since 2015 and celiac since 2018, and even though I have had my struggles with it, I still strive to live a healthy life. Senior at Utah State University studying Health Science. Hoping to go into pharmaceuticals and focus on diabetic supplies and medicine, because I am quite passionate about helping those that have the same medical condition as I do.

After the race yesterday I was kinda depressed of my time. But I guess I will just have to look forward and focus on the next race. So I did an easy 3 miles this morning before church, then in the afternoon went up to the track for a timed mile. Did some strides and then ran the mile came in with a 5:01 which didn't feel too bad considering I raced the day before. Cooled down for a mile.

Mile warm up followed by some strides and dynamics. The race today was more just all about pacing and getting a good workout in. Trying to start out at 6:00 pace and work our way down from there. Felt pretty good for the first part and then started slowing down a bit. But it's ok saving the big race for Murray!!! 2 mile cool down afterward.

Ran 3 400s at 70 sec pace. It felt good to be able to run through some quick speed before the race tomorrow. Then did easy 3 miles around the college.

Warmed up for about a mile then did some drills. Blood sugar was really high again and I really haven't had a race where I have been satisfied with my results. In the race today from the first 100m I knew this race wasn't going to be good. My legs kept feeling right and I just felt really sluggish, and Jordan knocked me off of varsity which really ticked me off. I just hope I still have the motivation to keep doing this crosscountry stuff, because I am really not liking it anymore!!! But I guess I will see what happens the rest of this season and how next race goes at Wasatch Rendevous.

After being stressed and disappointed from yesterday's race. I could barely sleep all night. But the next morning me and the Cherokee Squad headed down to Glenwood Springs for a Tough Mudder race. Which is a obstacle course race covering the distance of a half marathon. Took it at a nice pace of 7:24 avg. It was beautiful and helped take my mind off the Murray race from yesterday. All I can say is appreciate life and who created it.
