Ran cross country and track all throughout high school. Met a lot of great people and enjoyed the races, travel time, and the overall process for all four years. I made varsity several times throughout high school, but had to work quite a bit for it as well. Overall, had a great experience with it though!

Personal:

Born again Christian. I have been a type 1 diabetic since 2015 and celiac since 2018, and even though I have had my struggles with it, I still strive to live a healthy life. Senior at Utah State University studying Health Science. Hoping to go into pharmaceuticals and focus on diabetic supplies and medicine, because I am quite passionate about helping those that have the same medical condition as I do.

AM- Walked 3 miles, then jogged the last one in 8:43. Had to wear some gloves. My achilles was acting up a bit on the jog, which is something that I am not too concerned about, but I will keep an eye on it to make sure that it does not turn into an injury.

PM- Didn't end up getting in a morning run, but just a little bit of walking instead. Went out later this afternoon. Up to the middle school, did 2 miles around there, then ran back home. Achilles was a little bit tight, so I stopped a couple of times to stretch it out. Other than that, good run!

AM- 10.5 on a new route that I think I will start using more often. With two miles left, I am glad I made the decision to stop at 7- 11 convenient store, because I knew I wasn't going to make it back to the park bathroom's in time.

AM- Woke up this morning with pretty high blood sugar levels, which also made me quite dehydrated. I was just going to walk a couple of miles, but once I got going, I actually felt ok. Nothing great, but still got some miles in this morning. Hopefully I will feel better tomorrow!

AM- 13.3 miles out past Naples and back to the park. 7:42 average. Felt much better today! After a failed attempt to make the cutoff time at Las Vegas in 2017, and missing it by only 1 minute and fifteen seconds, I was successfully able to make the cutoff time this year. This just lets me realize that consistency is key in running or anything in life. To all those that missed the cutoff time this year, don't worry there will be more opportunities and races in the future. Boston Marathon 2020, I am coming for you!
