Ran cross country and track all throughout high school. Met a lot of great people and enjoyed the races, travel time, and the overall process for all four years. I made varsity several times throughout high school, but had to work quite a bit for it as well. Overall, had a great experience with it though!

Personal:

Born again Christian. I have been a type 1 diabetic since 2015 and celiac since 2018, and even though I have had my struggles with it, I still strive to live a healthy life. Senior at Utah State University studying Health Science. Hoping to go into pharmaceuticals and focus on diabetic supplies and medicine, because I am quite passionate about helping those that have the same medical condition as I do.

AM- 10k recovery miles this morning. Thought it was going to be really chilly out, but turned out to be really nice. On Thursday, it is supposed to be 17 degrees for a low at night. Chilly for October!

PM- 5.3 out to Naples and back home. Had high blood sugars starting out on this run, but once I hit halfway, I started to go low. Picked it up the last mile in 6:41.

AM- 10.5 easy from Vernal Park, out past the care center, then back making loops around Maine St. 8:18 average. For some weird reason, I was really thirsty all morning. I drank quite a bit of water before this run, and was really wanting some more before I even finished. Went and got some powerade zero afterward which was really refreshing!

AM- 10.6 very easy on the TM. Heading to Chicago tomorrow, going to the expo/sightseeing on Saturday, then the race on Sunday. As my goal is to run in all the Abbott World Marathon Majors, I am very excited to knock out my first one in the Chicago Marathon! Since I raced Big Cottonwood Marathon just a month ago, I am not expecting anything great at this race, however I will still try to put in a good effort and I might actually surprise myself. Weather looks decent as well!
