Ran cross country and track all throughout high school. Met a lot of great people and enjoyed the races, travel time, and the overall process for all four years. I made varsity several times throughout high school, but had to work quite a bit for it as well. Overall, had a great experience with it though!

Personal:

Born again Christian. I have been a type 1 diabetic since 2015 and celiac since 2018, and even though I have had my struggles with it, I still strive to live a healthy life. Senior at Utah State University studying Health Science. Hoping to go into pharmaceuticals and focus on diabetic supplies and medicine, because I am quite passionate about helping those that have the same medical condition as I do.

AM- 5 easy on the home mile repeat course that I made up. Legs felt tired, probably from yesterday's long run.

PM- 3.5 miles of trail running out at the Dinosaur Tracks. It is pretty rocky, so I took it slower. I wish that I did more trail running this summer and fall.

AM- 8 miles easy 7:27 average. Nice morning weather today.

PM- 3 mile shakeout with 10x 30 second pickups. Feels good to get some good cadence

AM- 5 easy 7:32 average. Core work afterward

PM- Mile warmup then 5 mile tempo. Averaged 5:53. Wasn't feeling it on this one, probably because I got an anesthetic today from my cavities being filled. I did feel a little dizzy and light headed, but I got it done. I know that not every day I am going to go out and feel amazing. Just got to keep moving forward.

AM- 3 miles easy then finished with an 800m in 2:39. Gonna try and hit the dirt roads this evening to give the legs a break from the pavement.

PM- 8.5 easy on the Brush Creek Trail. 7:28 average. Felt good to be on a dirt road this afternoon.

AM- 18 mile long run on the 3 mile church route. Did it 6 times to get to 18 total miles. Average pace 7:02. Felt smooth during the whole run, and I don't think I would have hit the wall if I would have kept going towards mile 20 or 21. Overall really happy with this long run.
