Went to the chiropractor this morning, and was able to get some adjustments for my hip. I haven&#39;t had any pain this entire week running since SLC marathon, but the chiropractor did say that I needed some alignments.</p> Fri, 19 Apr 2019 06:00:00 Thu, Apr 18, 2019 <p>AM- Easy 8.4 miles from home, then ended up finishing with 3x (roughly) 200m, plus some shorter 60-80m strides. Overall the legs and body felt great this morning, and no hip pain, which is super good. Legs surprisingly had a ton of spring in them today, considering that I ran a marathon just a couple days ago. The hip actually felt pretty good, but I am just going to run honestly whenever I feel like it for the next week or two, then I will see how everything is feeling. Also going to schedule a chiropractor appointment sometime this week.&nbsp;</p> Tue, 16 Apr 2019 06:00:00 Sat, Apr 13, 2019 <p>AM- Well, all I can say is that injuries happen in running. Whether you are young or old, it seems that some time in most people&#39;s running career, they are bound to end up with an injury at some point. Since about January, I have had hip pain and lock ups during many of my training runs, and I have just tolerated it since then. Strides and somewhat speed work would never feel quite right, and my overall stride and cadence hasn&#39;t felt good since December. I went for my goal pace from the gun, but my hip started to lock up and hurt almost immediately. Had to stop several times starting at about mile 8 or 9, and just sort of shuffled my way to the finish line. When I finished, my legs were not even tired, because of the slow pace, so I know that I will recover quite quickly from this marathon, which is one positive thing from this race. And even though it was a very disappointing race, I still tried my best to enjoy the race. Probably going to take some time off from serious training for a week or two, and just do some cross training, and maybe run only if I feel like it. First, I need to go to some chiropractor/specialist to get my hip feeling 100% again. And even though I feel like I am not in near as good of shape as I was last fall for R&amp;R Las Vegas Marathon, I am just going to give it my best and embrace every mile!
