Running Accomplishments:

Freshmen Year-  When I started on Uintah I really didn't know how I would do. Ran a 5k or two and then just started running with the team. The older kids really liked me and called me the good freshmen. I then made varsity, which kinda ticked Nathan off but I was happy with it. Time trials I ran like 18 flat. Along with Mason,Connor, and other people. The first few races went really good then I went to the doctor and he told me to get fat because he thought I was too skinny so the second part of my season was pretty crappy. I didn't get to go to state and was ticked because Nathan beat me at region.

 

Sophomore Year- This was the year that I got that dark Cherokee blood running through me and then I decided to just haul butt the whole season because I was ticked at what happened to me freshman year. The first few meets of cross country and the whole season was great. I was able to go to state and got a low seventeen for 3 miles. And track went better too. Because normally I love cross country more than track. It was a pretty good year for this Cherokee kid.

AM- Played basketball for about an hour and 45 minutes. Had fun mixing things up today.

AM- 28.4 miles on the assault bike/airdyne in 1:35:30. Started out easy with a good warmup, then did 10 x 2 minutes hard/2 minutes easy, followed by a long effort at an aerobic pace. Overall the legs felt great! Go Rams! Beat the Patriots!

AM- 7.6 mile walk at the rec center while listening to some statistics and accounting lectures. I have had some hamstring pain and tightness this past week from running, so I don't want to risk much. Will try it in a few days. Snowy blizzard this morning!

AM- Crossfit workout this morning. 6 rounds for time: 2 minute assault bike, 20 dumbell snatches, 20 dumbell pulls, 20 dumbell situps, 250m row. Finished in just a little more than 37 minutes. 32 minute easy cooldown on the bike afterward.

AM- 7 miles rec center track alternating 1 lap hard/1 lap easy. Good to get the cadence up. Finished up with my new core routine that I have been doing. 7 x (10 pushups, 10 v-ups, 1 minute plank). I can tell that doing core more often has helped quite a bit with my form and running economy.

AM- 41.15 miles on the assault bike/airdyne. 11 miles more than what I did last Friday on it. Towards the end it felt a lot like what it feels like in the last couple miles of a long run. Legs are pretty tired now.

AM- Dynamic warmup and stretching, then 14 minutes hard on the airdyne. 5 to 10 minute rest then did a 22 minute amrap of: 20 dumbell snatches, 20 dumbell pulls, 20 dumbell situps, 250 meter row, and a 1 minute plank. Ended up getting a little over 6 rounds for that. 10 minute rest then 31 miles on the airdyne in 1:48:18. Overall a great workout!
