Ran cross country and track all throughout high school. Met a lot of great people and enjoyed the races, travel time, and the overall process for all four years. I made varsity several times throughout high school, but had to work quite a bit for it as well. Overall, had a great experience with it though!

Personal:

Born again Christian. I have been a type 1 diabetic since 2015 and celiac since 2018, and even though I have had my struggles with it, I still strive to live a healthy life. Senior at Utah State University studying Health Science. Hoping to go into pharmaceuticals and focus on diabetic supplies and medicine, because I am quite passionate about helping those that have the same medical condition as I do.

PM- Easy 10k. I was planning on going hiking this afternoon on the ship trails and dino tracks trails out past Red Fleet, but it was really windy, cold, and some flurries. It was much warmer here in town, so I just decided to do a shorter run today. Might go out there later in the week on a warmer day. Felt good!

PM- Crossfit workout at noon. 10 minute warmup on the airdyne bike, then 30 minute amrap of 50 double unders, 10 pushups, 20 situps, 1 minute plank, 1 minute hard on airdyne bike. It was pretty tough, as I have not done much crossfit lately, but I feel as though doing some of these workouts will make me stronger as a runner. After the workout, I did 6.3 easy around my neighborhood.

AM- 10.5 on kid's canal road. Felt better during today's run than during yesterday's crossfit workout. 

PM- Quick crossfit workout this afternoon. Benchmark workout "Annie" for time: 50-40-30-20-10 of double unders and situps. My time was 7:25 on this workout, which is not too bad but I know I can do a lot better. I think that I will do this workout once a month or so, just to see how I can progress on it.

AM- I decided that I wanted to get in some trail running before I start training hard for the Boston Marathon in the next couple of weeks. Went and did 6 miles on the Flume Trail, and I really enjoyed it. Good to mix it up with road runnings sometimes. Afterwards, I went back into town and ran 8.5 miles on down Maine St. Overall a good day of exploring and running!
