Ran cross country and track all throughout high school. Met a lot of great people and enjoyed the races, travel time, and the overall process for all four years. I made varsity several times throughout high school, but had to work quite a bit for it as well. Overall, had a great experience with it though!

Personal:

Born again Christian. I have been a type 1 diabetic since 2015 and celiac since 2018, and even though I have had my struggles with it, I still strive to live a healthy life. Senior at Utah State University studying Health Science. Hoping to go into pharmaceuticals and focus on diabetic supplies and medicine, because I am quite passionate about helping those that have the same medical condition as I do.

AM- Would have ran outside for the last run of the year, but it was pretty chilly out this morning, so I just went with the treadmill this morning and still had a decent medium long run! It is crazy to think that this year is already over. 2019 brought many high and low points for me throughout the year. I ran three marathons, one of which was my first marathon major at Chicago, and I also ran what I consider one of the hardest challenges I have ever done and that was the 40 mile Death Race in the middle of July! I have some big goals in 2020 that I really want to accomplish throughout the year! #1: Run the Boston Marathon and potentially run a personal best in the marathon at that race. #2: Get a 4.0 GPA in one of my college semesters in 2020. #3: Manage my type 1 diabetes to the best of my ability, and maintain a good a1c. #4: If I run the Death Race again, try to get as close to 100 miles in the race as possible. #5: Continue to enjoy life, explore new places, and continue to embrace running as much as possible. Anyways, long post but I am very thankful for everyone that has been apart of my life over the past year and decade. I hope everyone has had great experiences in life over 2019, and even greater ones in 2020!
